As explained in our Statement of Faith, NorthLife Church practices baptism by "immersion of the believer in water, whereby he obeys Christ’s command and sets forth his identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection." We believe this to be the only correct form of baptism to the exclusion of others ("sprinkling", or "baby baptism"), and it is a requirement for membership.
Interested in learning more about why NorthLife takes this stance? Check out Pastor Les's sermon, "Meaningful Baptism."
Because of the importance we place in baptism, NorthLife regularly schedules baptisms throughout the year. In order to be baptized at NorthLife, you will complete a self-study book regarding baptism (available upon request from the office), and will then be interviewed by a pastor and scheduled for baptism.
