Go, Gather, Give, and Grow

God is still in control.  He is still on the throne, and He is still with us.  There has never been a moment when He has not been.  Let us keep our hope and our confidence alive in Him - now, more than ever.

GO (virtually speaking) - We encourage you to visit alberta.ca for the most up to date information on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  Restrictions on gatherings of more than 15 are being enforced. In an attempt to cooperate fully with health recommendations and regulations, and for the protection of the most vulnerable members of our community and church, we have made the decision to continue online services until it is safe to gather together.  Only essential people should be present Sunday morning.  Our office is closed and staff are working from home. You can leave us a message or drop us an email at info@northlifechurch.ca. We will get back to you as soon as we can.  If you are volunteering for our Soup Kitchen, please ring the doorbell at the back door to be let in.

GATHERGood News!  The church is not a building, but an on – purpose gathering!  We can gather now in ways we never could before.  In fact, it is still incredibly important for us to gather even if we must do so differently. Please check with ministry leaders to see if your group is meeting online.

It is imperative to stay connected during these times of social distancing.  Do you know people in your family, neighbourhood, or church who need a phone call?  Do you know a senior or another person who might simply need to hear a familiar human voice? We need each other. Please consider reaching out.

Are you connected?  Don’t just follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or our website or read our emails...respond.  Comment, ask, pray, and connect.  We want to hear how you are doing!   Connect with us on our NorthLife COVID-19 Help & Prayer Facebook group.

We are working hard as a team to keep you informed and launch new initiatives to meet new needs.  Along with Facebook Live sermons each Sunday, you can visit our website at northlifechurch.ca and watch the sermons after our regular service time.  You can also get our latest Children Church (ages 2-5) and Children’s Sunday School (grades 1-6) lessons under the “BLOGS” tab of the site.  New this week - you can get the link to our Adult Sunday School lessons on Exodus under the “CONNECT” tab.

GIVE - Please continue to give tithes and offerings online through our website at www.northlifechurch.ca under the “GIVE” tab.  We need your help to continue regular ministry and have the resources to reach into our community during this trying time.  Online donations are processed by CanadaHelps.org.  If you prefer not to give online, you can mail us a cheque (141 Alberta Drive, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 1R2).

GROW - We would like to encourage you to GROW this week by spending time alone with God every day.  There is no better way to build a relationship with someone than to spend time with them each day – and that is true of your relationship with God.

We look forward to connecting with you this Easter Sunday. Please invite someone to join you at our Facebook Live service and leave a comment so we know you have joined us.  We would encourage you to have juice and  bread/cracker ready in preparation for communion this Sunday, April 12th.

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.     Isaiah 41:10
