LESSON: (TO GOD BE THE GLORY PART I)
SCRIPTURE: Matt 6:9-10 (The Lord’s Prayer)
SUMMARY: As Jesus teaches us how we should pray, we look at the first half of the prayer which is about giving glory to the Father by keeping his name holy , waiting for his Kingdom, and letting God know his will is the best. Our prayers should include this very important element. Part 1 talks about the first two: Keeping His name holy and waiting for His kingdom.
MAIN LESSON: Focusing on God’s glory gives us the right focus when we pray.
MEMORY VERSE: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need. (Matthew 6:9-11)
