LESSON: Our Daily Bread
SCRIPTURE: Matthew 6:11
SUMMARY: Prayer includes both giving God glory and expressing our dependence on Him through petition. We need to depend on God for provision, forgiveness, and deliverance from temptation and Satan. This lesson will talk about how Jesus teaches us to pray when asking for our needs.
MAIN LESSON: God knows exactly what we need, even before we ask, so we must always depend on God to supply all our needs. Depending on God means asking God first, then doing the best that you can, and then waiting on God for the results, and being satisfied with whatever he gives
MEMORY VERSE: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. (Matthew 6:9-12)
