📚 LESSON: Forgive Us Our Sins

📖 SCRIPTURE: Matthew 6:12

📍 SUMMARY: Prayer includes both giving God glory and expressing our dependence on Him through petition. We need to depend on God for provision, forgiveness, and deliverance from temptation and Satan. This lesson will talk about how Jesus teaches us to pray when asking for forgiveness.

💡 MAIN LESSON: When we sin, we break our relationship with God. When our relationship with God is broken, it becomes harder and harder to listen to him. Asking God for forgiveness restores our relationship with him. Praying for forgiveness also gives you the right heart to be able to forgive other people; if God can forgive you, it means you can forgive other people too!

🔑 MEMORY VERSE: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:9-13)
