In shades of white, green and red the northern lights inspire thoughts of awe, mystery and joy. The psalmist sang, “The heavens proclaim the glory of God.”
The great Canadian North has been inhabited by peoples for untold centuries. People of endurance, courage, adaptability and family. The north is an historic environment of exploration, discovery and trade. From the fur trade to energy development the Canadian North West continues as an arena of international focus. Above all, the North is where people live, work, worship and play.
NORTHLIFE encompasses the unique realities of living in the north. Even more so, NORTHLIFE speaks of the new and eternal life that comes with knowing God.
At this time a focused name is unveiled for the Fellowship Baptist Church of Fort McMurray. There are over five hundred Fellowship Baptist Churches in Canada, so now we capture our own identity with the addition of the descriptive name NORTHLIFE Fellowship Baptist Church. NORTHLIFE encompasses the unique realities of living in the north. Even more so, NORTHLIFE speaks of the new and eternal life that comes with knowing God. Jesus is “the way, the truth and the LIFE.” Our Lord said, “I am come that they might have LIFE.” “He that has the Son, has LIFE.”
Whenever and wherever the name NORTHLIFE with its artistic northern lights logo is viewed we will celebrate the wonder of living in the north and living in Christ. NORTHLIFE Fellowship Baptist Church steps into a fresh experience of adventure!
